BOM! Creative is a professional and creative team of audio/visual storytellers who specialize in Award Winning behind-the-scenes content, production shoots, interactive and immersive experiences with an emphasis on high-end production and finely-tuned editorial. 

The BOM! factor only happens when you aren’t afraid to break convention. When you are willing to make bold choices and take risks. That’s our goal: to create the greatest caliber of work from the get-go. From concept development throughout the entire production process, every project tells a story. Crafting powerfully engaging BOM! Creative is what we do.

At BOM! Creative, we work as a team with our clients to make every story uniquely and effectively the BOM!

Ethan Wilson

Founder / Producer / Creative Director / Cinematographer

Ethan started as a production manager within the Walt Disney Studios where he cut his teeth on TV campaigns, trailers, and in-school programs. He would later move on to become a producer for Alkemi Entertainment, responsible for a bevy of independent feature films and home entertainment campaigns, earning his Key Art win for the home entertainment trailer on ‘Pulp Fiction.’

Changing venues and producing promotional content for other motion-picture companies, such as New Wave Entertainment, Open Road Entertainment, and In a Garage; he furthered his unique perspectives on what speaks to an audience, and has produced a wide-range of promotional material of every kind, including trailers, promos, sizzle reels, multi-cam productions and original content for TV shows such as ‘Sons of Anarchy Seasons 1-7,’ ‘Justified,’ and ‘The Bastard Executioner.’ 

In 2016, Ethan successfully opened up his own shop, BOM! Creative, his most recent assignments are working on ‘Mayans M.C. seasons 1-5, ‘The Old Man’ seasons 1-2 starring Jeff Bridges, David Leitch’s ‘Bullet Train’ starring Brad Pitt, Zack Snyder’s next film for Netflix ‘Rebel Moon,’ FX’s coverage of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Chris Judge's newest Sci-Fi/Fantasy roundtable series for The Companion App, ‘Iconic’ hosted by Guillermo Del Toro, and the up-coming horror film ‘Insidious 5,’ 'Gran Turismo,' 'Spiderman 3,' and 'Venom 3,' and the 2024 Academy Awards, adding to his retinue of creative exploration.

* Ethan is a member of the Producers Guild of America, a Director of Photography with the International Cinematographers Guild - Local 600, and an FAA certified Drone Pilot - Part107 License.  

Carson Smith

Associate Producer

Carson Smith, a proud New Orleans native, embarked on a journey that would lead him to the heart of the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, California. Armed with a bachelor's degree in Film from the University of New Orleans, Carson set his sights on making his mark in the world of media and creativity.

 

In 2017, Carson's adventure took him to BOM! Creative, where he initially honed his talents as an assistant editor. As his passion for storytelling and artistic expression continued to blossom, he expanded his role to encompass concept development and project management, immersing himself in the entire production process.

 

With a fervor for crafting captivating content, Carson has left an indelible mark on the industry. His contributions have played an integral role in the success of notable campaigns, including 'Brightburn,' 'The Grudge (2020),' 'Escape Room 1 & 2,' as well as several hit Movies and TV Shows. His impressive portfolio includes 'American Horror Story,' 'Mayans M.C. (Seasons 1-5),' 'The Old Man,' starring the iconic Jeff Bridges, ’65,’ 'Bullet Train,'  'Insidious 5,' 'Spiderman 3,' and 'Venom 3.'

Joel Hirschfeld

Cinematographer / Field-Producer 

Joel Hirschfeld's path in the world of filmmaking is marked by unwavering dedication and creative excellence. His journey began as a producer-cameraman in Paris, where he made significant contributions to French television over a decade.


Upon relocating to Los Angeles, Joel focused on honing his skills as a documentary cinematographer, taking on a wide range of projects, from capturing the beauty of nature to delving into the depths of film history.

In 2014, destiny intervened when Joel met Ethan, and this partnership has since become central to his career. The names Ethan and Joel together sometimes evoke comparisons to the renowned Cohen Brothers. Joel adeptly manages both cinematography and production roles, creating captivating behind-the-scenes content and promotional material. His expertise in Steadicam and gimbal techniques defines BOM! Productions' creativity.

Joel Hirschfeld's unique journey and creative contributions hold an undeniable place in the world of cinema. His story is one of passion, persistence, and an unwavering commitment to the art of storytelling through film.
 

Kevin Shuster

Vice President of Experiential and Interactive

Former Head of Creative Production at MC2 Experiential Studio, Kevin oversaw all aspects of digital and physical production for immersive environments, events, and activations for entertainment and various brands.

Prior to MC2, as Executive Producer of Emerging Tech, Kevin supervised the interactive production for all of Team One's (Saatchi & Saatchi) entertainment and lifestyles accounts. In addition, he was one of the pioneers that founded the Publicis Groupe's TiltShift, an animation, VFX and virtual reality studio.

Previous to Team One, Kevin was a Senior Interactive Producer at Phelps Agency where he worked on Panasonic Solutions Company, Travel Corp. Technical Supervising Producer at Warner Bros, and founded and managed one of the first in-house multimedia divisions at a traditional Chicago-based full-service agency. 

Kevin has creative directed and/or produced interactive experiences for national and global brands including: Lexus, Samsung, The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, HSBC, Johnson & Johnson, Panasonic, EA (Electronic Arts), Tik Tok, 2K Games, and Warner Bros.

Recent assignments include working for Jack Morton Worldwide’s client McDonald’s for a multi-screen Experiential Conference as well as various pitches for Facebook, Amazon and OWN.

In addition to working in production for brands, Kevin worked in development for TV and feature films at Cindy Cowan Entertainment (known for Syriana and Very Bad Things), and for Valhalla Motion Pictures (known for Walking Dead, Aliens, and The Terminator).

He is also a screenwriter, director and producer of film and live theater. Kevin has written 20+ screenplays and teleplays and is a graduate of the writing and improv programs at The Second City Training Center in Chicago.
